Illuminations Center for Dyslexia

Who We Are

The Illuminations Center for Dyslexia was established in May of 2013. As a 501c3 nonprofit organization, Illuminations Center for Dyslexia in Meridian works to change the lives of children in East Mississippi and West Alabama. In addition to our primary mission to teach children to read, write, and spell, we also offer a variety of tutoring services. We work to increase teacher and parent knowledge through public forums and professional development in Meridian and the surrounding areas.

What We Do

We help you THINK differently about dyslexia, IMAGINE a future of success, and CREATE a plan to make that happen.
Whoopi Goldberg, Tom Cruise, Keira Knightley, Albert Einstein, Cher, Steven Spielberg, Walt Disney, Leonardo da Vinci, Danny Glover, Magic Johnson, and Jennifer Anniston are just a few of the famous people who have achieved much even though having dyslexia.

If your child has difficulty reading, especially reading aloud, writes or reads slowly and with great effort, has problems spelling, mispronounces names or words, has problems retrieving words, or avoids activities that involve reading, they may be dyslexic. Dyslexia is a learning disorder and occurs in children with normal vision and intelligence.

Illuminations Center for Dyslexia offers dyslexia therapy services as well as quality tutoring services both in-person and online. They craft individualized plans to fit student needs and family schedules and budgets. They are a non-profit and can offer aid to families that qualify. The Illuminations Center for Dyslexia was established in May of 2013. They started in the basement of Pleasant Hill Methodist Church in Zero, MS, and moved to their present location in Clearpoint on Highway 39 in 2015. They have served over 500 students since their inception.
