Opportunities From: East Mississippi HUB for Volunteers and Nonprofits

Help or create marketing and promotional activities to promote the mission of the East Mississippi Veterans Foundation. Contact and/or visit with area businesses, organizations or entities to request financial support.  Develop, organize and manage fundraising events/campaigns that will lead to donations. Help maintain and manage records of sponsors/donors.  

 

 

His/her duties include plans and oversee the building process of the East Mississippi Veterans Memorial Park project from start to finish.  Use expertise to -

Collaborate with engineers, architects, city/county officials and other workers Choose subcontractors and delegate their responsibilities Responsible for any delays, emergencies and problems that can arise Comply with safety and building codes as well as legal requirements Ensure necessary permits to construct are in place and approved for various areas of construction. Report project progress and budget to board. Advisor to board.  Explain contract and technical matter to others in a clear manner Prepare budget and cost estimates, along with work timetables

Oversee the entire construction process and ensure everything runs smoothly for the project to be successful. 

Help the East Mississippi Veterans Foundation create a world class venue to honor area service members, veterans, their families and the military of Meridian and East Mississippi.
