SR1 is a non-profit organization that strives to make “College Access and Success” available to all students in Hinds, Madison, and Scott County.

Our AmeriCorps members are dedicated to providing engaging and innovative activities by organizing enriching and memorable field trips, creating a safe and family oriented environment, and serving the community with helpful information, family oriented events, and service that helps to prevent harm to the community.

SR1 is always looking for new, motivated, and innovative minds to help work towards the goal of eliminating all barriers that prohibit students from gaining “College Access and Success.”

SR1 C.O.O.L. Education AmeriCorps program provides hands on tutoring and mentoring to K-12 students in Hinds, Madison and Scott county by utilizing innovative STEM based hands-on learning to encourage college access and success.

We are looking for dedicated and passionate individuals from all majors and professional backgrounds committed to making a difference in Central Mississippi through organized community service hours.
