Jubilee Mennonite Church

Who We Are

At Jubilee, we believe God has called us, as individuals and as a church, to be wise and faithful stewards of our time, our material resources, and our gifts. In gratitude for what God has given us, we are dedicated to serving our community and loving our neighbor. Together, we commit to do our best to:
  • reach out to our communities with ministries of evangelism, empowerment, and compassion (Is 52:7; Luke 4:18-19; Luke 10:25-37; Rom 10:14-15; James 1:27)
  • cooperate with other churches to promote Christian witness (John 17:20-23; I Cor 1:10)
  • love our enemies (Matt 5:43-48; Rom 12:14, 17-21)
  • promote justice and peacemaking in the name of Christ (Amos 5:24; Micah 6:1-8; Matt 5:9; Matt 25:31-46)
While we are a Christian organization, we enjoy serving alongside people from a variety of backgrounds, beliefs, and perspectives. We believe that a diversity of perspectives is incredibly valuable, teaching us to serve and love others better and helping us improve as an organization.

What We Do

Jubilee is serving the community in a variety of ways, primarily though our food pantry and "free" store.

Our food pantry distributes groceries from the Mississippi Food Network to area residents in need on the fourth Tuesday of every month. We have various opportunities to help with this ministry, including: weekly food pickups , bagging groceries, and helping with the fourth Tuesday distribution event.

Our free store is a donation based ministry. We have a variety of items contributed through ongoing donations (clothes, toys, household items, toiletries, and much more). We share these items with our neighbors as needs arise and at free store events (an open shopping day for community) as volunteer support allows. You can help with this ministry by carrying, sorting, and organizing donations OR bringing a small group of volunteers to help us set-up, facilitate, and clean-up after an event.
